Organizational Structure

Responsibility for the implementation of the five recommendations contained in Cooperative Extension’s National Framework for Health Equity and Well-being has been assigned to the Health Leadership Committee of the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP). ECOP is the representative governing body of the Cooperative Extension System that includes representatives of the nation’s land-grant universities, the Extension Foundation, National 4-H Council, and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture.

Cooperative Extension’s Health Leadership Committee

Members of the Health Leadership Committee include Extension administrators, program leaders, agency professionals, and national partners. The committee is responsible for national leadership and coordination of the Cooperative Extension System’s national portfolio of programs and initiatives related to health. Its scope of work focuses on work the System can do together as a united body.
